This workshop begins with a question: How can faculty create assignments that work most effectively both to help students learn and to enable them to demonstrate their achievement?
To begin to answer that question, we will discuss strategies for enhancing student agency in creating assignments and an adaptation of the Transparency in Learning and Teaching (TILT) framework for designing assignment prompts. Bring an existing assignment that you can discuss with colleagues to make it more transparent and to open up the assignment to greater student agency.
Presented by authors Amy Driscoll and Nelson Graff.
