The Student Affairs Assessment Committee is seeking session proposals for the 2020 Assessment Conference, which will be held on Thursday, May 21 from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Conference Theme: Maximizing Data: A Strategic Investment for the Future.
Three different session formats are available for submission: 1-hr standard presentations, poster sessions, and lightning talks.
- 1-hr presentationsÂ are designed to teach the audience a specific technique or skill (e.g., writing learning outcomes, designing a survey, etc.) or review current research/literature related to assessment or evaluation. These sessions operate concurrent with other sessions. Presenters should plan for a 45 minute presentation and 15 minutes for Q and A. If chosen, presenters will be provided with a projector and computer.
- Poster sessions could address any of the following topics (a) a description of an innovative assessment program, (b) an analysis of a practical problem-solving effort, or (c) results from a research or assessment project. Posters should be approximately 48x36in.
- Lightning talks are short, 10 minutes presentations that are intended to tell a story about your data.
The deadline to submit a proposal is March 30, 2020.
