Mesa Community College

Mesa Community College's Office of Institutional Effectiveness provides information for both internal and external audiences about its student outcomes assessment activities. Listed on its website are student learning outcomes broken down into three categories central to its mission: general education, developmental education, and career/technical education. In addition, tips and a frequently asked questions list are made available to both students and faculty regarding answers to questions, such as – what is the MCC student assessment, what is assessed?, who is assessed, and what can students expect? Presentations about MCC's Student Outcomes Assessment Program were developed for both students and faculty to help explain how they can participate in outcomes assessment on campus and during its Assessment Week. Assessment Week is a designated week each academic year where assessment of student learning driven by faculty helps communicate the effectiveness of MCC's program to the larger community.

Users of the website will not only find full annual assessment results reports since 2002 but also highlights of the full reports. Furthermore, minutes of the Student Outcomes Committee (SOC) are also public. Because of its commitment to improving its institution for both students and faculty through its communication of its activities, Mesa Community College is the featured website for the month of October.
