Featured Website: Marquette University
Marquette University’s Assessment Office provides a wealth of assessment information accessible to both internal and external audiences. Its University-Wide Student Learning Assessment Policy outlines assessment principles, responsibilities, and supporting offices. Learning outcomes, assessment plans, assessment highlights, and assessment reports for every major covering 2008, 2009 and 2010-11 are available for each academic and co-curricular unit. In addition, the assessment cycle, goals, resources, and assessment committee - which provides mini-grants and support to undergraduate and graduate learning outcomes - are available for review.
Not only does Marquette offer an Assessment page for its academic units, the Division of Student Affairs has one as well. Reports from survey data including the New Student Survey, NSSE, and others are provided. A summary of statistics from its various surveys is also available. In addition, Your Voice, provides a source which departments can access to survey students about different aspects of campus. A list of Assessment Resources regarding assessment design and data collection are also available.
For its communication regarding assessment activities, creativity within both its academic and co-curricular units, and centralization of its assessment resources, Marquette University is July’s Featured Website.
